Damascus Steel - A millennial Chinese Cultural Heritage

Traveling back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), Chinese blacksmiths embarked on an inventive journey. Using a technique called Pattern Welding, they skillfully layered different metals, applying heat and expertise to forge exceptional blades. As time flowed, these methods evolved through dynasties, like the Song (960-1279 AD) and Ming (1368-1644 AD), resulting in intricate patterns and remarkable strength.

Xinzuo brand is built on the idea of making exceptional knives accessible to people all around the world. We believe that quality tools should not be regarded and priced as status symbols, but as tools to improve people’s lives. Quality sharp knives make food preparation easier, safer and more fun.
