Bread Knife

A bread knife is a type of kitchen knife created especially to cut bread, cakes and leaved food. Its characteristic serrated edge has the purpose of gripping the food and avoiding compression and sliding of the blade during the cut. A bread knife can also be used for slicing other foods that have a soft interior and a hard exterior, such as tomatoes, cakes, pineapples, and melons.
